Letter to a young American!
He is talking about life and how people live through it. Over all he is talking about how life will be for you. Some people will get almost everything for free while you need to work your ass out to even get near what they are achieving. If you want to be something, it’s up to you what you want. You have to decide if you’re ready to spend all that time that you will need to work, to even get close to what you wanted to be. You need to focus on yourself, and don’t care about the others that you’re competing against. What he is saying is that you don’t have time to feel outclassed just because they’re getting all the things for free, that you are willing to pay a big fortune to accomplish. Keep on trying and even if there will be times when you’re having a really rough time and you’re just struggling around you have to keep reaching your destination. Everyone can’t be NHL superstars, rock stars or whatever, but with hard work you can accomplish a lot of stuffs that you will get proud of later in life when you look back at what you’ve done. If you did everything you could to make to your dream, you don’t have anything to worry about. Then you can feel proud and feel that you did something fun and good in your life that someone else noticed and gave you credits for. You will feel that you did do some useful things in life that you can feel pleasured about.
